The program is an accelerated intensive program that addresses human anatomy and physiology, pharmacology, and a wide variety of medical conditions as well as how to manage an individual suffering from a medical or traumatic event. The course material is presented through online lecture videos, online assignments, skill labs, written and practical evaluations, self-study, and clinical observation.  Students will complete online certifications including I-100, I-800, I-200 Incident Command, I-700 National Incident Management System, I-907 Active Shooter, Human Trafficking, Traffic Incident Management System, Stroke Awareness, Hazardous Materials Awareness, CBRNE Awareness, and WMD Awareness.  Upon successful completion of the course, the student is eligible for the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians certification examination to obtain New Jersey Certification.  Total course hours include online assignments and certifications needed for course completion.*** THIS COURSE REQUIRES SEVERAL HOURS OF STUDY TIME BETWEEN SESSIONS - PLEASE PLAN ACCORDINGLY.  There could be several chapters of reading, videos and assignments between sessions. Prerequisites:  Healthcare Provider Level CPRProof of adequate health insurance is required on the first day of class.
